Okay, so like, don’t yell at me if I’m wrong but there is a difference between a mental illness as a chemical imbalance in the brain and an emotional or social issue caused by trauma and whatnot right? ‘Cause it seems to me like most people who self diagnose, or go and see therapists have serious emotional or social issues but not chemically induced mental illnesses and that kinda needs to be looked at. It seems like mental illness is a term used too lightly for the wrong reasons. Mild social anxiety or whatever caused by stress or deep seated whatever, things like that may be a mentally based issue but I’m really not sure about it being classified as a mental illness. Bi-polar, schizophrenia, chronic depression things like are chemical as well as emotional. I just don’t want to get the wrong idea.
